Nottinghamshire Law Society required a new website to host event details, news, and updates for its 1,300 members, as well as provide an effective search function for users to locate legal services across Nottinghamshire.
Their existing website lacked the functionalities they required and was limiting their capabilities. The UX (user experience) of the site was below standard and they recognised that it needed significant improvements. They came to Ginger Root to help design and build a new one altogether, bespoke to their specific needs.
Following an in-depth investigation into the wants, needs and requirements of the team at NLS, as well as a full review of the existing website including demographic, usage and navigation, the web and design teams built a wireframe and created design concepts.
The chosen concept was refined, and the design was rolled out across all web pages.
Nuxd La(ra)vel development
The website was built in Nuxd and Laravel and features a member’s log-in area which was created for legal professionals to access discounted events, social occasions, networking opportunities and other members-only content.
The website also featured an area for vacancies across legal professions in Nottinghamshire, training events for users to sign-up to attend, and a live Twitter feed.
